About
iSeeChange is a socially networked almanac for the 21st century: a place where communities can collectively journal their observations, questions, and decisions against weather and climate data. As extreme weather and climate change make our backyards increasingly unpredictable, a 21st century climate almanac has never been more needed. Our prototype almanac, www.theAlmanac.org, demonstrates an opportunity to develop an information service based on crowdsourcing and a quantified landscape: local stories networked with climate data over time. Dots on graphs alone can’t communicate how climate change is changing our daily lives, but stories and community experiences combined with well designed data streams can. The iSeeChange Almanac can help citizens, scientists, policy makers, and businesses better understand how we're changing and what we need to do about it.
